How long will it take for my appointment to be scheduled?
Generally, scheduling a home visit may take up to a few hours depending on how busy the doctor's schedule is. Once the doctor has arrived to your dwelling, you are the only patient. This means our provider can take their time to visit you and thoroughly address all you concerns.
Is a home visit the same as coming to the clinic?
Home visit environment won’t be as structured as it would be in a clinic. Even if you feel more comfortable for the doctor visit at home, sometimes a patient’s conditions or needs may not be met with doctor's medical equipment and tools or what is available in the home.
Additionally, in the clinic, you can be certain that the focus will be on the visit. Your visit will be confidential and efficient, as there won’t be the distractions or restrictions that there could be in your home. Should you decide you want certain family members with you in the exam room, they can help you ask any questions or bring up other concerns that you had in mind.
Is it better to do a telemedicine visit or a home visit?
Depending on your symptoms, a telemedicine visit may be the fastest way to get medical care. The appointment can be scheduled, paid for, and take place all from the most convenient location for you.
How much does a home visit cost?
A home visit can range in cost from €150.00 to €200.00 for a general practitioner. If you need a specialist, however, please ask ahead to make sure there are no surprises.
Is the cost of the prescription included in the visit?
Yes, if the doctor needs to prescribe medication, labwork, or other diagnostics, the prescription is included in the visit. You will need to pay separately for the medicine at the paharmacy, the lab test in the medical center, or the other diagnostics whenever they are scheduled.
Can I pay for the home visit with insurance?
You can pay by cash or card, but you will need to cover the cost of the visit upfront. With your reciept of payment and the medical report, you can file a reimbursement with your insurance provider.
Can the house call doctors speak English?
Yes, the doctor will be able to speak with you and write your medical report in English.
