Direct Insurance Billing

FirstMed has established relationships with over 30 private insurance providers in order to facilitate medical claims in the most convenient manner. We assist with completing all the necessary medical claim forms as well as sending them directly to your insurance provider.

Not covered by any of these plans? Contact us and we will find the best solution to suit you.  

  • Before your first visit*, please send us a copy of your policy card issued by your insurance company. We will  place it in your medical file and use it to set up direct billing.

  • After your visit, we will give you the necessary claim form for you to sign, which we will submit on your behalf.

  • Fees not covered by your insurance policy are required to be paid at the time of service (i.e. excess, deductibles, co-pays).

  • Direct billing to insurance providers means you are only responsible for paying the portion of the invoice not covered by your policy.

  • In case the insurance company denies the claim, the patient will be responsible for paying the outstanding amount.

  • Existing patients who have plans with one of the insurers found here can bill their telemedicine consultations to their insurer.

While we accept insurance from many companies, we cannot always direct bill for every policy. If you have any questions, please feel free to the Rome Clinic, via email or by calling the clinic at (+39) 06 40 06 14 02.

*in order to utilize your insurance, we require 3-5 days notice prior in order to obtain all the necessary information regarding your insurance policy.
